Exhibitions |

The Museum
organizes periodical cultural and
educational exhibitions on
various
topics in its special exhibition halls. A
large number of students and interested
visitors take advantage of these
exhibitions. |

Public
Lectures |
|
Illustrated
lectures on museum subjects, as also popular
lectures, are arranged in the
museum's lecture theatre from time to
time, Scholars and experts on different
subjects are specially invited for this
purpose. These lectures are popular and
largely attended. |

Film Shows |
|
Educational
films are shown regularly for the benefit of
school children and the visiting public. |
|
Guide Service |
|
The services
of two Guide lecturers are provided for
taking visitors round the different
sections. Organized bathes of school and
college students are given special guidance
by previous appointment. 'Gallery talks' are
also arranged for school children and
illiterate adults. |

Research and
Study Facilities |
|
Facilities
for drawing and study of exhibits at close
quarters are provided. Necessary permission
to take photographs of exhibits and to make
use of the library for research work can be
obtained by making a written application to
the Director. |

Publication |
|
The museum
publishes its research bulletin annually
since 1943. The bulletin enjoys an
international reputation and is of great
heap to scholars. The museum has brought out
21 volumes of its bulletin so far, in
addition to several special issues and
monographs.
Thirty-six
selected exhibits
of the museum have been published in color
and black & White picture postcards. These
picture post cards are widely used as
souvenirs. |
