Objectives and Performances
The meta
objective of the SAG to is to produce
excellence in sports. The Government further
distinguished two policy objectives when the
SAG was set up. These are popularisation of
games and promotion of excellence.
Operational or strategy-specific objectives
are taken up in the next chapter.
The criteria by which to evaluate the
performance, vis-a-vis the objectives are
dictated by the nature of objectives
themselves. Accordingly the performance of
the two policy objectives are profiled in
the following paragraphs.
