These 95
medals are won in three different
competition venues; SGFI Games, National
Rural Games and National Women’s Sports
Festival. Of the total 95 medals, 20 are
gold, 38 are silver and 37 are bronze. In
the five national competition forums, 1280
boys and girls (696 boys and 584 girls) from
Gujarat participated in 31 different sports
disciplines. This tally of 95 medals is a
vast improvement over the total of 25 medals
won in 1996-97.
