Women Oriented Strategy

• 25 self-defence centres have been approved with a provision of a part-time martial arts instructor for each of the centres. Required mats are allotted.. The recruitment of instructors is in progress. The list of district wise Women's Self Defence Centres was given in Appendix 7.

Scholarship

• From the inceptions of this scheme in 1999-2000, the quantum of cash scholarship has been increasing year to year. Under the scheme those girls who are ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the State compitition organised by the Commissioner of Youth Services and those who have participated in the SGFI National tournaments will be eligible to get scholarship. The quantum of cash scholarships is Rs.4800, Rs. 3600 and Rs. 2400 for the rankers and Rs.4800 for national participants per year.
